• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent) required
• Must be available to work between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

About the role

Latrobe Valley Home Support Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality in-home care and assistance to our elderly and disabled clients in the Latrobe Valley and surrounds area. This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation
• Providing companionship and social support to clients, engaging them in activities and outings to promote their wellbeing
• Monitoring clients' health and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate team members
• Adhering to Latrobe Valley Home Support Services' policies, procedures, and client care plans
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a home care or community support role
• A strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by the elderly and disabled population
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathy with clients
• A caring and compassionate nature, with a commitment to providing the highest quality of care
• A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• A Certificate III in Aged Care or higher (able to provide personal care)
